Hugo Nazareth Fernandes
Hugo Nazareth Fernandes holds a degree in Architecture (1996), and a Master’s degree in Theory of Architecture (2003) by Lusíada University, Portugal. He holds a PhD in Urban Planning by ULHT – Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Portugal (2010).
He is an associate professor at the Integrated Master in Architecture course at ISMAT – Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes, and an assistant professor at the Integrated Master in Architecture course in ULHT. He is a guest professor at EAC-École Supérieure d’Architecture de Casablanca, Morocco.
Fernandes develops his research activity in the fields of Architectural Design and Urban Planning.
He was awarded the second prize ICAR-CORA 2011. This prize, awarded by ICAR-International Council for Architectural Research, acknowledges the quality of PhD thesis in Architecture.
Fernandes has organized and attended several seminars and conferences. He has been publishing his scientific research since 2005, and he has his own architectural practice since 1999.
